Things to do in Dallas TX during Mardi Gras

The Star in Frisco has an adults-only stroll tonight, February 28, with a costume contest and drinks and bites at Crushcraft Thai, Zaytinya, City Works, Sushi Marquee, Roti Grill, Da Mario, Concrete Cowboy, Cane Rosso, and other neighborhood shops. General admission is $35 and includes sample drinks and light bites at every stop.

Cliff House is hosting the Oak Cliff Mardi Gras Masquerade on Friday, March 1, at 9 p.m. with music from Kickin’ Brass Band, David Grover, and Ice House. Tickets are $25. Get the fun started early around the block at Spinster Records, where a pre-partystarts at 7 p.m.

Frankie’s Underground has a Mardi Gras on Main celebration this Saturday, March 2, starting at 8 p.m. All Funk Radio Show will provide live music for the dance party, and there will be a special Cajun-inspired menu for the night. Tickets are $10.

What’s Mardi Gras without all you can eat crawfish? Texas Live! in Arlington is having a crawfish boil on March 2, 4-8 p.m., with live music by Unfaded Brass Band and NMG Underground, a hurricane drink contest, and a pub crawl. Admission is free.

This weekend brings a festive, Mardi Gras-themed Salsa Sunday at Scout in The Statler. There will be drink specials, jello shots, $5 queso, and more! The party starts at 5 p.m.

The 2019 Mardi Gras Oak Cliff Parade is on Sunday, March 3, starting at 4 p.m. at North Bishop Ave and West Davis Street. The Big Ass Brass Band will keep the party going after the parade at Wild Detectives from 5 – 7 p.m.

The forecast for Sunday says a high of 46 with thunderstorms, but Circo TX says Pre-Mardi Gras Pool Party! The outdoor element of the day will most likely be cancelled, but there will still be a crawfish boil, kings cake, drink specials, and music by Joe Vega and Ryan J.

The Free Man throws its Annual Mardi Gras March on Tuesday, March 5 (actual Mardi Gras) with a 30-piece brass band partying through the streets of Deep Ellum at 6:30 p.m.

The Rustic is having a Mardi Craw party on March 5 at 5 p.m. with mudbugs, live music by Taméca Jones, festive cocktails, and face painting. The party is free with RSVP, but there’s also a VIP option with a Cajun buffet, private lounge, and pre-party for $40.

Legacy Hall is doing it up big for Fat Tuesday with a party featuring Thaddeus Ford Band, a New Orleans style parade, and $6 hurricanes all day. The event is free and starts at 6 p.m.
